Raising the Minimum Wage

Pennsylvania has one of the lowest minimum wages in the US. $7.25/hour no longer works for Pennsylvanians. We are long overdue for a raise to our minimum wage.

I am in full support of an increase of the minimum wage to $15, which will include an every three-year look at the consumer price index to determine if the wage should be increased to match inflation and other factors.

Clean Energy Initiative

I grew up in Pittsburgh when the steel mills were spewing waste into the air. As a child, I was sent off to school clean, but I would return covered in soot due to the pollution. Since then, Pittsburgh has done a great job cleaning up its act. However, we still have a long way to go as a state and district. I pledge to do everything in my power to make a Clean Energy Initiative a priority in our district.

Lower Taxation for Senior Citizens

It is my firm belief that seniors should have a lessened tax burden & I will fight to reduce taxes on senior citizens wherever possible. Senior citizens have spent a lifetime working hard for Pennsylvania. It's time for Pennsylvania to return the favor.

Affordable Housing

As the area grows, so does the need for affordable housing.  We must make homeownership more accessible to working-class Pennsylvanians.  As a state, we must offer incentives to finance and build affordable housing, this will allow all Pennsylvanians to live with dignity.

I will fight for a longer-term plan that will include future growth encompassing all of southern Butler County.

Lower Prescription Drug Prices

No Pennsylvanian should do without necessary medication because they cannot afford it. Prescription drug prices have skyrocketed, and I will fight to make them more affordable and accessible for all Pennsylvanians.

Investing in World Class Infrastructure

Government investment in infrastructure improves our lives & creates well-paying jobs.  I will fight for more investments to improve Pennsylvania's infrastructure and give us a transportation system in Butler County to connect to our southern neighbor.
